uBuyPrivate

A new way to buy houses online - without the help of an estate agent - was launched.

The North East-based website was set up by entrepreneurs Richard and Rosa Laverick, who spotted an opportunity to allow sellers and buyers to deal privately, cutting out estate agents and potentially saving thousands of pounds.

Richard Laverick, co-founder and director, explains: “uBuyPrivate offers a great money saving alternative to estate agents. With increasing house prices we can all benefit from cutting out the middleman.

"uBuyPrivate allows customers to advertise their property and also offers letting packages. The website aims to be a one-stop-shop for all property needs, and includes UK and world homes searches, plus residential and holiday lettings."

Rosa Laverick, company director said: “Our basic package costs less than £20 and all properties are featured on up to 400 relevant websites. We even supply For Sale boards."

The entrepreneurial pair plan to become the leading private property website in the country with a strong emphasis on the North East region. Most property websites tend to focus on property in the south of England, so new providers based in regions such as the North East can be harder to find.

uBuyPrivate Ltd is based in Northumberland’s first business incubation centre, the Northumberland Enterprise Centre at Ashington. Brian Hannaway, Centre Manager, said: "We are delighted to have enterprises like uBuyPrivate based here and I’m confident they will become a successful business venture.”
