This is the official Amazon Web Services user group for Manchester, England. Anyone and everyone with an interest in the cloud is welcome. We're keen to hear from members what topics they'd like to cover in meetings. There's usually a free bar, always good speakers, and the opportunity to network with like-minded people.
Matt Wood (AWS Technology Evangelist for EMEA) will be joining us again. He plans to do a roundup of recent updates and then a deepdive into Analytics in the Cloud: "The AWS Cloud provides a number of tools to drive analytics workflows, from tightly coupled, parallel computation to map/reduce jobs. This session will provide a deep dive on the design patterns, best practices and code required to run real world analytics on AWS." This meetup will be sponsored by Bashton.... Sam Bashton will be showcasing an example of their use of AWS.
